Don’t waste your time. Very limited menu to choose from. Wait staff could use some training. When my food was brought to the table my fries were piled on top of my meat. Who wants soggy fries? Not me. They need to either get bigger plates or place one of the 3 sides in a separate dish. And has this place ever heard of BBQ bread? Sliced bread is something I can get at home. When I go to a BBQ restaurant. I want the appropriate bread. I should have known by the low lighting in this dive that they wanted to hide something. They want to hide the way the slop food onto the plate. Do yourself a favor and find some place else to eat.
Road Food. We were driving home to Louisville from vacation in FL and everyone was getting restless. We decided a dinner break would break up the monotony & saw the Johnny’s billboard from I-65. Walking in, not too impressed by decor, or service, however once that food came out we were happy travelers! The sauce was so good we bought a gallon! to take home and have since had friends stop & get us more!
Snooty service, cold food. Johnny’s BBQ 4th st swCullman alI had fond memories of the BBQ at this place from my childhood. However, a recent visit turned negative. The pork sandwiches we had were cold and the meat didn’t really have that good bbq flavor that I had remembered from my childhood. The beans tasted like they opened up a can and warmed them and the slaw tasted old. The waitress acted offended when we spoke up and the cashier didn’t offer a refund either. We left most of the food on the plate and walked away. I won’t be visiting this place again. Johnny’s better pick it up if they want to compete.Urban Cowgill
Best in town. Best BBQ restaurant in town by far!
Doesn’t get much better than this!. We travel 30 miles just to eat here a couple times a month. Their pulled pork is wonderful and so is the sauce. My favorite is the BBQ pork potato. The potato is huge and filled with delicious pork,cheese, sour cream and butter along with their wonderful sauce. Try them out you wont be disappointed. Number one BBQ in my book.
Great food, fast and friendly service. What more could you ask for? Best pulled pork and smoked chicken in Alabama. Just finished a chicken plate and as always it was delicious.
Great Catering. We used Johnny’s for a catered lunch this week for the first time and were very impressed. They were professional, flexible and the prices are very fair. The attendees loved the lunch! I would highly recommend this company. our company Alabama Allergy & Asthma Center will use them again for catering in the future. Many Many Thanks!
