This is the new iteration of the former Butts on the Beach BBQ place in Orange Beach. The theme is no longer fun at the beach, it is now the joys (!) of golf. The space is larger, there are lots of windows, and there is a small outside dining area with comfy chairs. The menu is similar to the other BBQ places in South Baldwin County, Ala. In fact, a Moe’s Original BBQ is a few minutes drive east. By a close margin, prefer Butt’s baked beans (with small pieces of bark) and its potato salad. The M-F happy hour is a great deal. You can select from a number of small portions at a bargain price. All the offerings are $3.00 or less, including adult beverages. Sampled two pulled pork mini-sandwiches, and my main meal was brisket with two sides, as well as Texas toast. Give it a try. If is locally and family owned, and we need more eateries like this.
