Just terrible. Waited all day for some fried oysters and ordered the shore platter to go , got home and found three very small over fried dried up oysters fish was overlooked and the only thing on the platter that was good were the four shrimp for 22.95 it was a total waste of money, never again! I will spend my money at the other many restaurants that believe in quality ! This was the last chance for this overpriced and inferior quality place

Restaurant. A locals favorite. They have been around a long time and family owned. Try the Shrimp and Oyster Po-Boy it is wonderful. Best seafood in Alabama. Won’t find this kind of food at the beach for sure. The crab claws are the best too.

Don’t waste your time or money!. We took advantage of the Restaurant.com certificate this past week….because..we wanted to try restaurants in our area. We moved to the gulf area and eat out at least one time a week..either a lunch or dinner..so the opportunity to get the certificate was just a no brainer. The food is NOT freshly prepared, we went wanting a decent seafood meal so we were not cheaping out even with the certificateWe both ordered seafood with the oyster platter around $20 and the shore platter over $20. Everything looked and unfortunately tasted pre-packaged and poorly at that. The oysters came out in tiny corn meal clumps and the stuffed crab on my honey’s plate was stuffed with bread and very little crab. We were so disappointed. The atmosphere was fine, wait staff friendly, and we were greeted immediately with smiles and a hello. This is definitely a sports bar, clean, and large. Trying to get a nice meal maybe we should have had wings or a burger..but you place items on your menu because!!!! because there is a market for it.!! We would have been loyal customers, however, there just wasn’t any food redeeming value here. So close to the gulf…so far from the great food we have heard so much about. We can not speak about the drinks or other food items…but I would say this restaurant should take the high end items off their menu if they can’t produce a decent product. Complaining about the food to the restaurant is not our cup of tea…if you make it, you should stand by it. One final note…they added the gratuity to the bill even though there was only two of us..pretty tacky..we will be noting that to the Restaurant.com website.

Mediocre. Ok, but could be better; good service and quick, but food mediocre. Fried shrimp very good, but we’re in the gulf coast, so that’s pretty common. Green beans ok, sort of bland. Hush puppies undercooked. Funniest was the cheese grits, which the grits were good (not runny), but they were literally a bowl of grits with a slice of cheese melted on top. Just not anything special that would bring me back for the food.

Great food, Ignore the bad ratings. I have been eating here for years and the food has always been exceptional. In the last two years or so, it has moved to a new and cleaner location. Yes, it is in a bowling alley, but don’t let this make up your mind about not eating here. It is a family owned restaurant in a separate space from the bowling alley itself. All of the seafood is fresh, and their food is always consistent. Because it draws away tourism by being in a bowling alley, many locals eat at this restaurant. It has always had a long standing reputation.
