Food and service. We just found Chick and Sea and are working our way through the menu. They offer a choice of three different entrees 6 days a week.. They also offer a huge menu if nothing strikes your fancy for that day. The quality was good, the service was good and the price is more than reasonable. Let me tell you about the homemade pies, coconut, lemon, pecan and chocolate. Not cobbler or cake, ugh! Real pie, like Grandma made. It’s a small business that has stayed in business a long time and it is a feature of Foley and I’m glad they’re there.

First time there. Everything I had was frozen, pre-fab, order off the food service truck generic. And I’m being kind. The chicken was flat (you cannot correct a seasoning problem at the table)… at the very least it should have been salted PRIOR to cooking. My companion had soggy fried shrimp. Of four vegetables none were fresh and none were seasoned. The hushpuppies (of course frozen, prefab) were the size of grapes and very much overcooked leaving them hard throughout. I hoped maybe their pride and prowess was in desserts. Again I was wrong. I received a sweaty, runny piece of pecan pie that had originated in… can you guess? That’s it! The freezer. I wasn’t foolish enough to expect a four star restaurant here but I had hoped for that mom and pop Southern diner experience where they know, cook and serve delicious, authentic, homemade Southern food. Not here tho. The food here is about as creative as the name. And I really hate that because I would love to have found what I was looking for. Good food.
