This place is kind of a tourist trap. The food is very mediocre and, in my opinion, the roll throwing doesn’t justify the very long line and the expensive prices. My kids weren’t as excited about the roll throwing as I thought they would be and, in retrospect, why would they? The service was very meh, too.

I have eaten at Lamberts in Foley on numerous occasions, but tonight (Feb. 16, 2019) me and my family decided to take the long ride to go and enjoy a good meal. Don’t get me wrong the food was good, but my taste buds left me, when I saw that a family brought in a monkey into the restaurant and had it at the table eating mash potatoes using one of the restaurants spoons. NOW THIS IS NOT SANITARY.

What is all the hype? Thrower rolls and pass arounds? The food is just ok…most of it is pre-fab from the coleslaw, fried okra, and gravies. At $15 average price point, you are over paying for what you get. And the wait line is definitely not worth it. Our server, Monica was fantastic and she was very friendly and attentive. The catfish and shrimp we cooked perfectly and very good. The country fried steak was not made in-house but ok. Its been a long time since weve been here and it will probably be a while before we return. We would bring the kids next time as Im sure theyd get a kick out of the throwed rolls. Another positive of the Foley location is that they accept credit/debit (unlike the Sikeston,MO location).

Another really fun place to eat. Great service where the dinner rolls are actually thrown at customers. Sounds bad but it’s actually Althea main attraction. The food is good. Nothing too special. Just down home country cooking.

Home of the throwed rolls. The best yeast rolls since grandmas at thanksgiving. Brung cash qs they don’t take plastic. .Get ready to bring home a doggy bag, portions are extremely large. All food is homemade and amazing. Love the fried potatos and the other sides they bring around. Wonderful. Place.

This is a great place especially for families. And you get so much food! The atmosphere is unlike anything I’ve seen with rolls being thrown and food being passed around that’s included with your meal. It’s southern food though so most everything is fried, but you will not leave hungry!

Excellent food and service. I really liked all the food that was carried around. The rolls were very good. What a great experience from start to finish.
