Casual Dining at Reasonable Rates. I go here for three reasons. One, they periodically email me 20% discount coupons. Two, the free pie slices on Wednesday. Three, it is about a two mile drive from my home. Do not think this chain is any better or worse than the Ruby Tuesday and Applebee’s that are metaphorically within a stone’s throw, or the Chili’s or T.G.I. Fridays that are a longer drive from Foley. Always feel that I have walked out having gotten a decent value. The pies are certainly better than the ones at our local grocery stores.
This is the worse o’charley’s I have ever been to. Went there with my aunt and two cousins. It took forever to get our food, about 45 to 50 minutes. They got Santa Fe tilapia and Cajun chicken pasta. The tilapia was over cooked. It tasted like it was cooked and then heated again after it got cold. The chicken in the pasta was basically plastic. I got the cowboy sirloin. The cheese on my mashed potatoes was very cold and greasy. My steak would have been better if it was warm. Service was terrible. Waitress never checked on us after bring out rolls, which is the only thing this restaurant didn’t mess up. She never came back for refills or if we needed sauces, etc. Manager never apologized, but he waived the cost of our meals. Thing is, I didn’t come to get a free terrible eating experience.
There is no reason to eat here unless your car has broken down in their driveway and the tow truck is and hour out. Drab menu, poorly prepared and served food (hot appetizer was Tom temperature and tasted as if CheezWhiz was principal ingredient.Main course was drastically overcooked and tasted as if it had been precooked and then finished when eventually ordered (a guess at why it was so greasy all the way through).
