This is in a neat little downtown like area of owa. The restaurant is pretty and has a nice water view. Service was Ok. The food was subpar for the price. 12 dolllars for a really small burger is pretty high, the quality was above Burger King but well below 5 guys. I dont eat a lot, but I just finished my burger and I am definitely not full.
Very disappointing. I ordered Big Hearty burger with comes on Texas toast. The burger itself was supposed to a 1/3 pounder, I dont think so…missing half of the meat and the rest was bread. The onion rings were the best part. Husband ordered Fiesta burger and his tomato was not ripe at all and burger was far from festive. Do not think we will be returning.

Alright… after a few missed opportunities to enjoy a Wahlburger, the stars aligned and we found ourselves with friends at the OWA Wahlburgers in Foley, Al. What a great location! We had a large group event in the area and Wahlburgers was very gracious in offering to host our after-event meeting with a few added discounts on appetizers. We had the recommended pulled pork bacon cheese fries. It had a different name that escapes me, but several others in our group had it and loved it… we probably could have skipped it, with the huge onion ring order and two burgers. The onion rings are the thinly sliced variety that seems to be catching on nationwide… my wife loves these! I had the BBQ Bacon Burger with added topping and a fried egg. The initial presentation didn’t impress as they come al-a-carte in a plastic basket… adding a small portion of fries would definitely dress up the plating. My wife had the Super Melt with added avocado. We traded bites, and both burgers were fantastic. Gourmet burgers have a tendency to look small, but typically they are very filling; Wahlburgers are no exception. With a full bar and several local craft beers available, Wahlburgers does a great job of mainstreaming the specialty burger genre despite being a company chain. It’s definitely a recommended experience and a 5 star rating for perfectly meeting our expectations.
