We were really excited to try this place as we heard it was the old Zeke’s for our date night. By the amount of cars in the parking lot, we knew that we could be wrong. We were surprised however that it was very similar to Cracker Barrel atmosphere, including the country attire at entrance. After placing our name on the wait list, we had a drink at the bar. Because it was after 6:00pm, there were no specials offered and we were never given a drink menu. We had the coconut shrimp for an appetizer which were delicious!! Large, plump and perfectly cooked-not very appealing that our side sauce came in a plastic ramekin though. Dinner- we were looking to enjoy some fresh, local seafood and were disappointed to find that all items from the FRESH CATCH section was frozen and shipped (per staff). In fact, even the oysters ($20) were shipped in from Texas. In addition, most options were fried, with a side of fried. Really disappointing when we’re so close to the ocean and have an abundance of fresh seafood. The shrimp in the shrimp dinner were definitely smaller than the coconut shrimp, confirming our suspicions that the coconut shrimp were pre-made. We received one trip to a he salad bar with our meal – although it was a nice salad bar, it was by no means vast in its options-also, we could only use the soup bowl they provided. The oysters were tasty but would have liked half-she’ll options. This rating is as high as it is solely because of the staff. From greeter, hotels, bartender and waitress, all were very friendly and welcoming. Staff get a rating if 4.0, while the food is 2.0. I really would not recommend this place to out-of-Towners looking for fresh seafood.

Exceptional salad bar! So nice to be someplace that obviously takes pride in presentation and freshness. Mixed greens, spinach, plenty of veges and other salads. Friendly staff too. Will definitely go back.

We went to Wolf Bay Lodge for lunch after getting our local produce at the Coastal Farmers Market next door. I ordered the gumbo & salad bar lunch & my husband had their fried oysters and shrimp plate. The service was quick and food served in under 15 minutes. The gumbo and fried oysters were good. I enjoyed the chicken salad and deviled eggs on the salad bar.

Good stuff. Nice salad bar. Crab legs were great. Scallops were a little chewy.

As locals and small business owners ourselves we were really excited to dine at the wolf bay lodge. After arrival we waited a long time for the server to take our drink orders. 15 minute wait for drinks. An hour wait for the soggy, greasy, bland seafood. We will not be returning and don’t encourage anyone else to waste their money or time here.28 Sep, 2014As locals and small business

Clueless Kitchen Manager / Never got our Food. Was looking forward to eating at Wolf Bay after a long day on the water. As a local I knew they had some internal changes and a new menu, so reluctantly I thought we’d give it a try. I noticed in the past the old menu and service was slipping. We sat at the bar area and got quick service for drinks, then shortly after placed our orders. Several other tables were seated just after we were seated and placed their orders after ours. About 30min or so passed and a few of the tables received their food. Then a few others. So at about the 45min mark I asked if our food was coming out. 10min or so passes and she says in just a minute. At this point I walked back towards the kitchen and asked her where the food is, she replied, the kitchen doesn’t have an answer. I asked who’s in charge and she points to the kitchen manager. I asked him directly. He opens the broiler door and turned and looked at me with a deer in the headlights look and didn’t udder a word. I asked the waitress for our tab. As I was getting ready to pay I instructed her to take it to the kitchen manager and he could square it away. All totaled after an hour and a half we never received our food and left hungry, never to return again… please don’t spend your hard earned money here.. Signed, Unhappy Local

Bama Girl. Very disappointing meal. Ordered the white fish sandwich (please note I order this almost every time I eat here) when our waitress put it down in front of me I immediately said what is this I basically had a half of sub roll with a piece of fish about the size of the palm of my hand the tomato slice was larger than the fish. She said I’m sorry I took it to the kitchen manager because I knew it was unacceptable but she just told me if I wanted to complain about the size of the fish I could just go home. I assumed the kitchen manger would come to my table since I had made a complaint but that never happened. As I went leave the restaurant I went to the kitchen manager and confronted her about my sandwich she very rudely told me that the fish was the size it has always been. I told her oh no I eat this almost every time I eat here and that’s about once a week and I said I had it last week and the fish is always the size of the bun she said oh if you got it last week it probably was bigger because they sent me the wrong fish. I said what about all those other weeks she just looked at me never made any attempt to make it right. What a lame excuse. Needless to say we have not been back and don’t plan on going back. It’s obvious the mangers and the owner doesn’t care about their customers . I emailed the restaurant manager never got a reply back and I know the owner was told about this but she never got back to me either.
