Yummy’s is a wonderful addition to a thriving downtown Foley, Ala., dining scene. The ambitious, made from scratch menu, offers a quiche of the day, multiple salads, eight croissant sandwiches, a daily soup and salad option, and such on-premise baked goods as cakes, pies, bars, brownies, and macaroons. Beverage offerings include tea, coffee, lemonade, bottled water, and something new to me; four types of flavor-infused waters in tall glass dispensers. You can select berry, citrus, cucumber mint, and seasonal offerings.The owner, Liz, is a well known local pastry chef. The cozy, comfortable space is located at the back of a courtyard in the Orange Blossom Square mini-mall, that fronts on Hwy. 59 and Orange Avenue, which has pull in parking. Weather permitting, tables and chairs are available on an outdoor patio. Was impressed by my quiche. A foodie friend of mine raved about the chicken salad croissant sandwich. Also ran into two folks from my book club when I was there. They also enthused about their meals. This is a culinary gem well worth visiting. Bon appetit!
