Nostalgic. Frankly, I thought this restaurant chain had gone by the wayside. We used to go to Shoney’s Breakfast Bar when we were kids because all of us girls could get what we wanted and mom and dad didn’t have to make five different meals. Then when I was a young adult, we used to go after the bars closed to fuel up after a night of partying. I went this morning with my brother-in-law after his dialysis for the breakfast bar. It was just as good as I remembered with the right mix of the traditional full English breakfast offerings. The bacon was just crisp enough, the eggs were perfectly fluffy, the biscuits were not to dry and the grits were just right which is difficult for most restaurants to get. Overall, I would say it was an A plus experience.
This place is nasty
