We stopped here on our way to Asheville NC. The food was not bad however the service was way out of sync. They brought us the setups for our fajitas at the same time as our appatizers. Then they came right back with the fajita fillings before we even tasted the appatizers but we had to wait for the tortillas? Like I said the food was not bad.
Villa Fiesta-Gadsden. I love Mexican food. The food at Villa Fiesta is very good, but a little bland. I love hot spicy food, so I understand why it’s not as hot as I like, other people don’t crave spicy like I do… Good food. Great atmosphere, and Great service. ****They make a Frozen Strawberry Margaretta that is worth the trip****They also make em in a 50 Oz. for celebrating certain mile stones.Villa Fiesta got even better when they started letting us pay at the table. Guess I don’t like lines at the register. I give better tips to the waiters when I can take care of the bill at the table. THIS IS MY FAVORITE RESTAURANT IN GADSDEN… (I don’t mind shouting it for everyone to hear…)
Nothing special. My friends like this place and I find it about average. Its bland for the most part. I guess most Americans don’t like strong flavors. I do, always have. The only thing I can say is worth trying is the Chili Colorado. It has some decent flavor and a bit of heat. I don’t eat much mex out because its so bland around here. Rather just make some real Tex Mex at home, I am from Texas though. I keep telling these places to stop being afraid of Cummin, Garlic, Cilantro, Onion in some smoked bacon base etc.. These local restaurants are boring. Its usually best to stick with a Fajita and throw some fresh jalapeno on there.Service has been good though, just nothing to throw money at.
Excellent Food. We went on a Sunday. Reminder, alcohol is not served in this area on a Sunday. Never the less, we enjoyed our meal, had plenty to take home for the next day’s lunch and will return when we are back in the area on a day when we can experience the Margarita’s that we heard were excellent.
Best margaritas I’ve ever had
Eat there for Yourself. I’ve seen many negative reviews for Villa, and I just don’t understand them. Perhaps these people had one bad experience, or they’re Mexican cuisine aficionados, or some other factor, but I tell you, possible diners shouldn’t be turned away by the reviews. Try it for yourself.I’ve eaten at Villa for years and have had nothing but friendly service, though, at high traffic times, it can be a little slow. And they keep changing payment protocol, it seems, so that could get a little confusing, but the food is wonderful and very filling. The taco salad is my favorite, and I compare all other taco salads to it. I suggest adding cheese dip to it– I suggest adding the cheese dip to everything, not because the food is bad, but because that dip is so good. The flaming cheese is also a popular dish and I enjoy it with chicken, however, it can be greasy at times. Really, it’s a place you just have to go and taste the food for yourself.
Not good.. Some of the blandest Mexican food I’ve had. The place looks better than your average hole in the wall on the outside, but the food quality is terrible. I ordered my food, the waitress went in the back and retrieved it instantly. There is no sense of freshness whatsoever. They’re also very conservative with their cheese and vegetables. Expect dry meat on tortillas and little more. Chips and salsa were extra, extra salty.
