We love Lulus the service, the gift shop, the activities for kids, the food, the views! We get there about 15 till opening, and we pretty much walk right in. The food is excellent burgers, fish, shrimp, and HUGE salads. There is sand, a water fountain type thing for kids, and buckets and shovels around the side. I didnt even know that until our most recent visit. Our toddler didnt want to leave. There are also rope course type activities for older kids that you have to pay for. Ive bought several shirts Ive loved so much that Ive reordered them from them online too. We have always enjoyed it all!
LuLus is an annual favorite. The food is delicious and they are great with people with food allergies. The nachos are baked in queso – delicious! And the snapper is brought in from the boats fresh daily, each containing a QR code with details of where it was caught. While you wait, there are many fun things for the kids (of every age) and walk up bars for the adults.
Definitely a Jimmy Buffet feel about this place. Open. Airy. Large bar overlooking large dining floor below. Live music on stage. I was expecting bad food but was pleasantly surprised. Decent food. I particularly like the gluten free menu. And the smoked tuna dip is awesome, nice big chucks of tuna, not overly creamy. A fun atmosphere and decent food to boot. A good place for a fun night out.
Had dinner on a Sunday night. Low crowd. Service was really good. We had a wide range of food among the four of us. The shrimp peel was excellent and so were the onion rings. All of our food was well prepared and hot at the table. Salads were fresh. It looks like a fun place for a weekend or summer lunch or dinner. We will go back when we are in the area.
Love coming here bc the food comes out quick and the kids can play! My son loves to pay in the sand area! The staff is always friendly! And gumbo is good!
Truthfully, Ive been avoiding this place for a long time. It always looked too gimmicky and commercial for me. BOY! Was I wrong! We arrived (2 of us) at 5pm on Friday and was told it would be a 15-20 min wait, or we could be seated at the bar. We only waited 5 minutes before our table was ready. We sat near the stage, but the musician was not so loud that we couldnt hear ourselves chatting. I recommend using their go online to get in line feature as the line was steadily building. Our server, Brittany was great! She was friendly, attentive and made great recommendations! She offered us each a cup of free gumbo – it was delicious! Had 5 shrimp and noticeable crab in the cup, as well as a great flavor! I asked for a side of fried green tomatoes b/c the appetizer was too large for us. It was also very good with a housemade remoulade! Brittany recommended the seafood basket – she said the sea bass was from frozen, but we didnt mind and the taste wasnt affected by it at all…the fish was cooked very well, flaky and moist. In fact, all the seafood was cooked well and we were surprised at how MUCH food there was! The shrimp were deveined and large. The hush puppies, tarter sauce and coke slaw were all made in house – these are things you can TASTE a difference in and what makes this restaurant a 5. We cant wait to return with our munchkins so they can enjoy the ambiance, activities and food!
Great atmosphere but the food was just average at best. Service was fast and friendly. Kid friendly. Drinks are average. Id go again for drinks but Ill never go back for dinner
