Super good food, entertainment, friendly service!! Loves it! Highly recommend!! Family friendly atmosphere. Salad was excellent with ginger or house dressing. Both choices were good! Served plenty of food with entree! Soup was excellent!
I’ve definitely had better Japanese hibachi than this. Everything was very over seasoned and salty. Our waitress seemed to be new bc she didn’t know much about the menu. Food was okay. The water tastes like swamp water. Would not go back.
Under new management. This place was very good !! Our cook was polite and cleanly ! It has a nice atmosphere and great customer service. The new management has turned this place around
Sushi is amazing. Service is spot on. Don’t understand why there are so many bad reviews. Must be from the competition. My family is here all the time and we have not ever had a bad experience. Love love love it.
BEST RESTAURANT EVER. I am local and I speak for 90% of all locals next to this Mikatos location. Hands down best food and experience I have every single time!
Wouldn’t recommend it. We drove over to Gulf Shores for the day from Mobile for my boyfriend’s birthday. Since neither one of us are seafood lovers, we decided to go here. It should have been a sign when we walked in and it took over 5 minutes for someone to come greet us to seat us. The waitress told us it was her first day, but I didn’t think much of it. While looking over the menu I noticed that it was an extra $2.50 for fried rice. Seriously? What hibachi place charges for fried rice???? (Steamed rice was free………) Refills were also not free, but I’m not drinking soda right now. (I did have to tell my daughter she could not have a refill on her watered down drink……) We ordered and they promptly brought out the soup and salad. Sushi came out next. I didn’t eat it but was told by others in our party that the grocery store sushi is better. After waiting over an hour from the time we were seated our chef came to the table. We did not get our shrimp appetizer that was listed on the menu (I wouldn’t have eaten it but my daughter LOVES shrimp). When the food was served i was not impressed. The chicken wasn’t very flavorful, my daughters steak was just ok….. and the noodles were tangy. Basically, this place made us wait too long with no explanation, and was over priced (I eat hibachi, i realize its expensive but this one wanted too much for the basics that should come with the meal.). I won’t be back and I would recommend my friends to just drive to Spanish Fort and go to Styx if they’re looking for Hibachi in Baldwin County.
TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Food is good but the customer service is HORRIBLE! I placed a to go order at 4:55 p.m. They told me it would be ready in 35 minutes. So I wasted 45 minutes in town and when I arrived at 5:45, my order had never even been turned in. This happens EVERY SINGLE time that I place a to go order. Then they expect you to wait another 20 minutes for their mistake. They have NEVER offered any incentive for me to come back due to their incompetence. The only thing that is consistent is their bad attitudes and lack of customer service skills. I’m done with this place!
