I’ve been going to the original location in Auburn for years. The quality seems to have been well preserved at this franchise location. Ordering process is pleasant and efficient.Today I tried the $6 soup and sandwich lunch special. Potato soup and chicken curry salad sandwich. They said the soup is made by someone else but it’s quite good. Curry chicken salad is a really great twist on the traditional sandwich.
Chicken Salad Chick is always dependable. I’ve visited the original store and every location is consistent to the original. I’m not a huge chicken salad fan, but that’s what’s great about this place. It has a variation of chicken salad for everyone. The chicken salads are great (of course), but I wouldn’t waste my time on their sides (just get more chicken salad!). I’ve tried many styles and tend to prefer their spicier or tangier ones, but my fianc prefers their sweeter ones. The decore is the same in all shops which isn’t my favorite style but it fits the funky girly theme the owner seems to be going for. Regarding this particular store, my only issue was the service. When I asked about the soup of the day, the cashier told me what it was but then asked why I wanted to know. When I stated that I was considering getting it, he then informed me that they were out but couldn’t tell me that unless I was ordering it. Why not just tell me from the beginning? Hahaha. Despite no soup, the chicken salad was delicious per usual and the fruit cup was out of season. This is a great place to take people with different tastes to a quick and light lunch and you can count of their product being consistent each time.

I’d prefer a bit more jalapenos, but like I said we all have our idea of what is perfect. I was a little disappointed that I could not get the bread toasted, but all in all, still a great sandwich. Next time, I’ll try the Jalapeno Holly and maybe my desire for burning tastebuds will be satisfied!
Chicken Salad Chick is AMAZING!! You can’t beat 15 different flavors of chicken salad. Fancy Nancy and Cranberry Kelli are my personal favorites! Also the grape salad is life changing!!!
Fancy nancy is delicious, as are the broccoli salad, grape salad, and fresh fruit. Staff in downtown store are wonderful and so helpful! Have only been to the downtown location by UAB.

Their chicken salads are amazing and the customer service is absolutely outstanding. The staff are very helpful and polite. I really like the Olivia’s Old South chicken Salad. The egg and sweet pickle in it makes it taste like an egg salad/chicken salad combo. The chicken florentine soup is also very good.
