Stopped by for my lunch hour last week. This little store-front eatery has an excellent lunch selection. I’ve been coming in for years for their superb Carline’s plate. This time I selected the special…the soft shell crab salad! It was awesome. I recommend that everyone go check out this homewood jewel.
I’ve loved this place for years and never had something there I didn’t like. I won’t repeat all the well deserved praises of the roll-ups and salads. What I’ll suggest is if you’re eating there and headed home, spring for a casserole to-go. Their Shepherd’s Pie is the best I’ve had, hands down! Also don’t forget to take some cookies too, which are also delicious.Great catering (their food travels well) so it’s good for those who need to take lunch to customers.I hope they are around for a long time!
