I’ve been going to Mr. Chens Hoover for a long time. Pretty much the same menu here and owned by the same family.This is probably the best overall Chinese place in town, it’s Taiwanese influenced Chinese with some standards thrown in but it’s good food, clean and attentive service.When I first moved back to Birmingham from Atlanta the best Chinese food was at PF Changs if you can believe it So this place was at oasis in the desert. I’ve been here many many times And really can’t remember a bad experience. It’s reasonably priced and always open I highly recommend.
If you love authentic Chinese, this is the place. Everything I’ve tried at both locations has been excellent. I’m always partial to authentic Sichuan food and they’re twice cooked pork is fantastic!
