Took a little while for our server to greet us, then he brought my 3 year old daughter a GLASS CUP ro drink out of, which lasted a whole 3 minutes before it broke on the floor. They cleaned it and appologized, newbie mistake I guess. We ordered our food and got my miso soup and ginger salad pretty quick but then waited about 30 or so minutes for the sushi and hibachi to come out. The food was pretty good. I had hibachi steak and scallops. Portions were a good size for a place that doesn’t cook in front of you. I would return, but on a less busy night.

The food and service were very good. I had the hibachi steak lunch which was well prepared. I ordered my steak medium and it was cooked perfectly.

I eat here often. I alternate between sushi and hibachi for lunch. They are both excellent. The bento box lunches are great too. The staff is friendly and the place is very clean and nicely decorated. Prices are very reasonable. They seem to be pretty busy during lunch hour and the food doesn’t come out as fast as i would like. But i keep coming back because it tastes so good.A while ago I suggested they needed a bright Open sign out front because it was hard to tell that they were open. Soon after a neon open sign was up out front and since then they have been busier than ever. I should be a restaurant consultant haha :).They even have a nice covered patio dining area for when the weather is nice.A couple weeks ago i was dining inside and saw a coworker with some friends enjoying a meal out there. She could not see us due to the nice tinted windows and i didn’t step out to say hello. However the point is we all had a great lunch. If you haven’t been to Okinawa, Japan, this is the best place to sample their food in Birmingham (i think)Disclaimer: I have not been there for dinner.

One of the best restaurants in Birmingham to get sushi! It’s located in Homewood off of Wildwood Parkway. I decided to give it a try because of all the great reviews, and I was not disappointed. They have a large selection of speciality rolls. Both of rolls I ordered tasted fresh. I will definitely come back to try more!

My nephew wanted Sushi and I sent him this app to help him make a selection. The pictures alone sold him! We arrived after 2 pm a workday and had the place almost to ourselves. I had the Dark Angel and it was great! He raved about the food for days. The staff was perfect and the rest rooms cleans. I enjoyed it and will return again.

We had an a wonderful dinner the only thing that we suggest you not order is the steak. My husband ordered medium rare and it came out medium well. I ordered medium and it came out medium well. The scallops were perfect with the hibachi, the rice was good the vegetables and the soup were also good. We had a sushi to start our meal with and it was wonderful. Service was good.

This is the best sushi in town for the price that I’ve had so far. We eat here regularly and try a new roll each time. They have very unique flavor combinations and ingredients they use in their special rolls and have daily specials of new rolls to try. They use things like strawberries and mangos, or jalapeos, and have flavored fish such as peppered tuna. The classic rolls are very very well priced especially for the quality do sushi offered and the specialty rolls are worth the extra charge. The hibachi menu is typical. I especially like the fried rice and ton katsu. Whenever anyone asks of a good sushi place in town, I always recommend this as my top choice.UPDATE:Looks like they’ve increased their prices quite a bit recently. Still very good, but now on the pricey side. I’ll still be visiting when I crave sushi, just probably won’t be able to visit quite as frequently.
