Best ribs in town!! Always perfectly tender and the sauce is just amazing. Collards were pleasantly spicy and sweet, potato salad was interesting. A Birmingham barbecue must!
Can you say greasy . Place was dirty with flies all around. Ordered a plate of bbq with beans and slaw. The pork had an Oder and very greasy. Beans tasted mushy and day old. Won’t go back. Went to Golden Rule Hoover to eat afterwards.
There is none better than Saw’s. Anytime I have a friend in town this is where I take them! Everything on the menu is spot on. Although I usually come for the barbecue, the sweet tea fried chicken is a must have!
I’m crazy about bbq of all different styles and I’ve never had ribs this good! These guys know barbecue! There’s generally a line to order but it moves fast. Indoor seating is extremely limited but there’s more outside.
Great food, the place is really smalll, and there’s no parking. It takes a longtime for them to cook and waiters are slow. I think they would get a lot more business if they inlarge the place or move somewhere else.
Good food, but is it worth the wait in line, no tables, being bumped and jostled while trying to eat, being stared at to hurry up because people want your table? I’d say no. Definitely not. Sides (mac and cheese with separated, gritty cheese and rubbery deviled eggs) were really meh, too.
Saw’s had some good tasting food but less than stellar service. The potatoes were what stuck out to me most. They were good for all those that ordered them. Here are the scores:Loaded baked potato: 8/10Ribs: 7/10Mac and cheese: 8/10Cornbread: 6/10
