Owner is nice but the location has no parking and the inside of the restaurant seems like a mid-level fast food place – probably because it was a taco joint at one time. The biggest problem is the obnoxious, loud music. It was like being at a dance club while trying to each lunch at 1:30 on a Saturday. There is practically no sound deadening material in the room, just tons of tile, glass and other hard surfaces. So the people are screaming at each other trying to communicate over the ridiculously loud music. If you live right there in the apartments, I guess its an OK option if you can tolerate the noise levels. Otherwise, no real reason to go there.
We have dined in and done takeout from this restaurant three times now and every time has been phenomenal. I would even have to say that this restaurant rivals Bamboo on 2nd Ave., North. As Homewood residence it’s nice that we don’t have to drive downtown and find a parking spot! Our favorite rolls are roll Tide roll, war Eagle, and so fresh and so clean.
