Birmingham staple! Sure am gonna miss these pops when I move. My favorites include strawberry lemonade, mango, and strawberry basil. And the chocolate dipped cones in the winter are the stuff of dreams. You can’t come to Bham without a stop here!
I’m the guy that always said I would never pay $3 for a popsicle. That is until I went by Steel City Pops. The Pineapple Jalapeo was amazing. Tt was cold and hot at the same time, it was delicious. I also tried the strawberry creme. Fresh ingredients make the difference here. I am ok wanting in line that is all the way into the parking lot because it’s worth. The staff was super friendly. When it is a hot day in Homewood, Go For It!
Nice rotating selection of pops fruity creamy , just a nice and very good desert anter a good meal I will be back many more times even my grandson loves them
Steel City Pops is a great place for family night, end-of-date night, after youth group hang out, or just catching up with a friend. I love that their flavors change with the seasons, and I definitely have favorites for each seasons. They offer both fruity and creamy pops, with creamy ones being more of my personal favorite. I’d encourage everyone to try one of the flavors you think may be a little weird (i.e. buttermilk, avocado, or jalapeo and pineapple). If you’re eating in the store, they let you try another if you don’t like your flavor. How awesome is that?! Lastly, if you follow them on social media (fb, insta) you can see different promotions ($2 pops after school for students was one last month) and when new flavors are released…I still need to get over there to try banana pudding!BOTTOM LINE: May seem a bit pricey, but for the natural ingredients, and ability to try something new every time, it’s worth it. It’s one of my favorite places to meet up with a friend if we don’t have the time (or money) to meet for a meal 🙂
We have been coming here since 2013. They never disappoint with service or flavors. We used them in place of having a cake at our wedding. We loved that they were at Sloss Fest this year! Hot or cold weather, it’s always worth coming here for a sweet treat!
I am a fan! Every season when the flavors change, I have to try all the new ones. If you try a flavor you don’t like, they’ll switch it out for one you do like. I’ve only had one pop I didn’t like there, but when I went to try and purchase a new pop instead of finishing that one, they wouldn’t let me pay and just gave me a different flavor.This is really a gem in Birmingham and a must try for anyone living or visiting the area. It’s a great end to a date or a day out or just because.
The pops are the buzz man! Gluten free cookie and brownie pops are my favorite. The to go boxes are great BUT then I eat way too many at home. I love the additions to the menu with seasonal fruits. Great place for all ages.
