Yes this is traditional fast food Mexican in the sense that takes less than 3 minutes to get your order but it is unbelievably good! The soft tacos (both beef and chicken) are so fresh and tasty. The cheese for the nachos was still hot after 15 minutes and was nothing like traditional nacho sauce. It was thinner but so much better than thick nacho cheese sauce. And let’s just say the sopapies are definitely worth getting. For less than $1.50 you get a yummy cinnamon sugar dessert!When some people compared this to Taco Bell I wasn’t sure if I wanted to try it BUT I’m sure glad I did. I would say this is nothing like TB it’s 1000x better!

Out of towner. I guess it’s because I’m not originally from Tuscaloosa, but I just don’t see or taste what is so special about this place. They have always been rude with me and they really don’t seem to take any pride in presentation. I’ve tried it 4 or 5 times and probably will again one day, because the locals swear by it. Try it for yourself, it seems to be a love/hate type of place.
This is the worst place ever! Came here for lunch and sad to say that I wasted 15.88. Ate it because I paid for it! The tacos are very bland and the burrito has very skimpy meat and loads of beans. The Queso dip is thick and chips are jsut the worst! I would tell anyone about this place!

What could I possibly say about Taco Casa? In the nicest way, I have NEVER had anything like it. The enchilada was second rate, the chips were stale, the burrito was inedible, and the rice tasted like they threw a can of tomatoes into it before serving. The evening resulted in me getting my money back and my friend, her mother and I going to the Moe’s down the street. It’s a good thing we had a nice experience in downtown Birmingham, otherwise I don’t think I would come back to the city.
I had the burrito and I have to say it was the best tasting burrito I have ever had, especially coming from a fast food establishment. I could eat 100 of these.
