My CHEESE quesadilla for lunch was $9.00 and we drank water. Outrageous prices and slooooooooow service. Every. Single. Time. His was a steak meal and it was only $4 more? It should’ve been drastically cheaper.
A spur of the moment decision just provide my new favorite Mexican Resturant. Someone here has culinary skill and an eye for plating. The food was great. We had the chicken Flautas and a burrito. The pico de gallo came in a little shell with lettuce kinda a pico salad. Definitely moving to the top of my list.
Excellent!. We’ve eaten in there about 6-7 times. That’s literally in an 8-9 week period. We’re at Lee Branch a lot and just seem to end up at Don Pepe. Didn’t know a thing about the restaurant but wanted to try a new mexican place. Not disappointed at all. The service is always good, never waited on a table, and the food is delicious. I don’t eat meat; so the veggie fajita’s are my favorite. My husband is a carnivore and loves the burritos and fajita nachos. Really enjoy everything about Don Pepe.
We’ve been coming here for years and the food has usually good (can you screw up Mexican food?). We were quite surprised tonight when we opened the new expansive menu, to find that they jacked their prices way up. Israel is our Server. We are a party of 7, three generations plus my 17 year old’s girlfriend, who’s birthday we are celebrating. Israel took our drink orders pretty quickly, and served them in a timely manner. For some reason, (maybe they were out of clean glasses?) he served my mother her juice in a styrofoam cup with a lid and straw. Awkward. We then waited 30 minutes before we could place our dinner orders, and then it was only after we asked the waiter if we could order. Once we finally got to order, our food arrived quickly and correctly. Our meals were the same as they have always been, with no discernible difference correlating to the 30% increase in prices. The chimichanga, my usual, costs 50% more than at Pablo’s across the street, and isn’t even served with guacamole. From now on, it’s Pablo’s for this family!
Last Time. We have been eating at DP for a long time. They recently changed their menu and prices increased 20-30%. Food quality is still the same …although they have fancier plates now. This is the last of my hard earned dollar they will get from me! Bad decision by ownership…because rest assured the word will be passed!
Don Pepe used to be my favorite Mexican restaurant, but this is probably my last visit. Service has gone down hill and prices have gone through the roof. My wife’s shrimp quesadilla was not cleaned well and was gritty. It and the kids meals were ordered al la cart, but priced at full price and not changed. My meal was ordered al la cart but came out as a full meal. After a discussion with 2 waiters and a manager, at least my meal was reduced (very little). Last time I was there the kids drinks were $2.50 each. With the extreme pricing this trip and not seeing drink pricing on the menu, we all had water.
Used to be great until the menu change.. or should I say price increase.. now you can eat a steak dinner for less .. SHAME ON YOU DON PEPE
