Ive been to dozens and dozens of Mexican restaurants in my lifetime of varying quality – but Don Pepe is the best! The steak quesadillas are made with choice steak cuts and can be ordered medium rare – medium and the bacon wrapped shrimp are one of the favorite dishes Ive ever eaten at any restaurant. This restaurant is near my home and Im so happy it is because I go here often, and the service and food are always top notch!
This place is so far away from where I live, but they beat the place that most people around here in McCalla know about. It is awesome. I hear about an updated menu, but whatever. It’s a very complete menu, great variety! Forget the menu, paper might taste nasty, but the food is tasty. 🙂
We’ve always liked this place but with the updated menu, we love it. Margaritas are wonderful and the cops and salsa are delicious. Be sure to ask for some of the roasted salsa as well. The grilled salads are very good and have an interesting twist of having marinated grilled vegetables on them. The atmosphere is very cozy but can get loud, but in a good way. Lots of energy! The waiters are friendly and helpful. A cant miss in our book.
