Every time I have eaten at Ginza over the years it is always amazing. I ordered lunch to go today. I got the chicken teriyaki that came with the ginger salad and miso soup. I also couldn’t make up my mind and got the Alaskan roll, White dragon roll, and Ebi ebi roll. Everything was delicious. I was really impressed with their high quality of ginger. A lot of sushi places have so so ginger, but Ginza’s is superb.

I love the food but the service is terrible and very under staffed. I went for lunch one day and sat at the sushi bar and was never greeted of given a menu. I sat for 10mn and when I noticed 2 tables behind me get seated and orders taken I got up and left!

Fun meal, fantastic Sushi!. Ginza5291 Valleydale Road #101Birmingham, AL 35242(205) 981-1616ginzasushibham.comWe just went to Ginza and for our first Korean BBQ experience it was thoroughly enjoyable! The staff was super friendly and the facility was extra clean, comfortable and well decorated. I believe it is traditional for a Korean BBQ meal to take some time so don’t expect to run in and grab a quick BBQ. They have a separate dining area that they serve directly from the kitchen that is probably quick. If you have some time, sit back and relax, go to the bbq area, take your time and enjoy! The sushi is fabulous! Ive had a lot of sushi around Birmingham and this ranks in the top. Try the spider roll. The wasabi which is what its all about for me was atomic! The dinner comes with traditional starters of soup and a small salad as well as small vegetables two kimchi varieties with several sauces. We spilt two entrees and two rice bowls (Dol-sot bibim-bap) and this was plenty of food for a party of four. The entrees are thinly sliced and marinated (or not) meats that are cooked on the table right in front of you. Unlike a hibachi, where you are sitting with eight other strangers Ginza bbq tables are built for party of four. Im not 100% sure but I think we had the Spicy Gal-bi and the Ginga Bul-go-gi which is thinly sliced, marinated beef. They also bring plenty of red leaf lettuce for wrapping the various meats, vegetables and sauces into lettuce wraps. All in all a sumptuous meal that Im looking to repeat soon! Urban Cowgill

Awesome!. I’m from Tuscaloosa but went to Ginza for sushi with my boyfriend when we were in Birmingham a couple months ago. We ordered 5 different rolls and they were all delicious. The Bama roll was especially good. It was easily the best sushi either of us can remember having anywhere. We are STILL talking about it and we can’t wait to go back!

Outstanding Sushi!. Ginza was a treasure to find in Birmingham. Their sushi is very fresh and always made to perfection. We have sampled sushi from some of the finest Japanese restaurants from South Florida to Rhode Island and nothing compares to rolls that Ginza produces. The staff is warm, friendly and delightful and so is the atmosphere. If you desire great, fresh sushi this is the place to go!

Worker. I think some postings are from other restaurants trying to get our business. I never see anyone wait unless we are packed. Sushi and kitchen dishes take different times, just ask. And if you sit for over an hour without service you are an absolute idiot. No you’re just a liar.

2 dinners at Ginza. My children bought me a gift certificate for my birthday to Ginza because I had been there before and enjoyed the sushi. The service was awful, never checked on our drinks, my wife got her dinner 20 minutes before me, and had to sit until it was cold waiting on mine to be served.. we called for our waitress 3 times and she never returned. we were given a 20 dollar gift certificate for our poor service.. we took our children back to use our gift certificate before Thanksgiving and once again our service sucked and dinners were randomly served at odd/different times, so that we could not eat together. we were over charged for wine and the food {with exception of the sushi} was not good..the service is very poor and we were one of only 3 tables in the place..no one seemed to notice that we had been there for over and hour and still had not been served.. after 4 visits to this establishment, I would not recommend it at all.
