Friday night had a group (13) for birthday party. Had folks in from out-of-town (San Antonio, TX). Excellent service and food! Friends from San Antonio said it was the best Mexican food ever. Not even in San Antonio had they had better. I go for lunch quite often as it is close to where I work. My favorites are the grilled chicken salad and the shrimp enchiladas.
Went for a weekday lunch on a recent trip home to Birmingham. The atmosphere is nice. It took a little bit for a server to come to the table but once he did, the service was good. I had a frozen jumbo mango margarita and my sister had a jumbo frozen lime one. They were nice sized and were really good. The salsa, chips, and queso were really good too. The regular salsa seemed fresh and we also requested some of their roasted brown salsa, which we loved. They don’t charge you for it, but you must ask.My sister had a chicken quesadilla and I had the grilled chicken salad. They were both off the lunch menu and good. My salad had roasted vegetables, avocado, grilled chicken (great flavor), and Parmesan cheese on a bed of lettuce. I would definitely order that again. All in all, it was a pleasant lunch with no complaints.
Queso fundito with chicken – get this appetizer and you will thank me later. The food is yummy, the decor is very cool, and the service is great. We will definitely be back again & again!

Had a salad and the lettuce was wilting and brown. Pieces of it even had chunks of dirt. Gross.
Good food and fun atmosphere.. Iguana has the typical Mexican menu, and the food is good. It’s really the friendly, fast service and the atmosphere that make it better than other places. It looks like the prom inside! Lots of star shaped lights and lanterns and resort style furniture. Good prices, too!
