Fast and Convenient. When I get off work and really don’t know what I want to eat, I have found Jason’s an excellent choice. I agree that for the price your sandwiches should be made from premium deli meats. Notwithstanding, they are still tasty. I normally order the Salad Bar and often go back for seconds of the soft ice cream.
Shoulda got a sammich. 4 of us went to Jason’s Deli for a late supper. One got a salad and enjoyed it. One got pastrami and loved it. One got a reuben and thought it was just fine. One got the chicken pot pie soup and liked it….then there’s me.I got a bowl of the chicken noodle soup and the penne pasta with meatballs and Italian sauce. The soup was highly seasoned. It would have been good soup if it had been hot. It was barely warm. Disappointing soup for me. The meatballs were generic and I suspect mass produced and frozen at the Acme Meatball Company and shipped to Jason’s in bulk. The Italian sauce was so so but the pasta was like wet paper. I left half of ti behind. The sandwiches were a big hit. I’ll be back and stay away from the tepid soup and the pasta and enjoy one of the tasty sammiches instead.
Deli meat, really?. I thought that the deli meat was going to be top notch, but not even as good as Boar’s Head brand. I could have made a sandwich at home with better meat. The service was good, but that still didn’t make up for money spent when I’m trying to treat myself with a day away from five kids. Very disappointed.
So-So. The salad bar is small but acceptable, sandwiches are generic and if you closed your eyes it would be easy to imagine yourself in McAllister’s or any other generic type deli. Nothing pops EXCEPT the Broccoli Cheese soup. It’s really awesome.
This location better than 280. I prefer this location over the 280 one. Better service, better kept salad bar, reliable portions on your sandwich.I love the freah salad bar, with many organic items. I always get the same thing, the manager’s special. Comes with a trip through the salad bar, 1/2 a sandwich and some chips. I always get the turkey wrap, which is consistently good, and comes with some yogurt.Standard bring your family type of place. Free soft serve. Recommend when you are looking for a solid everyday dinner.
Salad and outstanding crackers – yummy. I go there for the salad buffet. I might have had a sandwich in the past but it was probably not that memorable. Crisp greens, sprouts, fresh vegetables, nuts, and great organic crackers are the base for my salads. I stay away from the yummy but heavy dressings and use a splash of Tabasco, salt and pepper. If you don’t feel like mixing your own salad, you can pile on potato salad, bean salad, pasta salad, throw some hard boiled eggs on it sprinkle grated cheese all over the plate and drench the concoction in a tasty French dressing. I got to go tomorrow again. What I really like: The separate self serving register for the salad buffet (and did I say that they have the best crackers?)What could be improved:The tables are standing way to close to each other giving the place an overly crowded and unorganized feel. The dressings could be labeled (incl. calories). Why not being a little more adventurous and offer more fresh and more rarely seen ingredients? Fresh jalapeos, cabbage, pineapple, grated ginger, minced garlic, squash, pear, soy sauce, bean sprouts, roasted bell pepper, dried tomatoes, bamboo shoots, heart of palm, radish, red beets, green papaya, field salad, jack fruit, grated coco, grilled eggplant, citrus vinaigrette, chipotle pecans, …
Great. Jason’s is one of my favorite delis (and I’m not a sandwich person). I love the chicken club wrapini. I also like that I can substitute fresh fruit for chips. The salad bar is great and has a wonderful selection (the muffins are delicious)! The tomato basil soup is good as well. And of course, they can’t go wrong with free ice cream!
