Would rather seat a large group than two. Have been going here for 20 years. Good and staff are great. Owners and lady with ponytail that seats you act like they could care less if youre there or not!If you are a small party of two they will seat larger parties first and claim it was a big table! Well I knew that cause you make more money on a party of 10 than 2. Problems is all their tables seat 4 they just push them together for large parties instead of seating a party of two that were waiting before the large party!Plenty of other places to eat!!
Feeling Disappointed. I’ve gone to La Fiesta for at least 20 years on and off. I have always enjoyed the food and service. We started going here again after going to another Mexican restaurant that my kiddos loved but felt liked we were being overcharged. We went last night and our bill seemed rather high. My husband asked after the bill while I got our kids in the car. I wished I had stayed for the explanation. My two daughters ages 6 & 7 were charged 5.75 for a bean burrito with cheese sauce on top plus 1.95 each for a soda. I expected that the soda would be extra since they did not order off the kids menu but 5.75 for beans and cheese is unreasonable especially when my enchilada burrito with beans, cheese, chicken and sauce was around $4.50. My son who ordered off the kids menu was charged for his soda. My understanding is that the kids meals come with a drink. So I guess we will be looking for another Mexican place. This makes me sad since we enjoy the food and this place is very convenient to our home.
Great, all around Mexican restaurant!. Love this place! You always get great service (there is almost no turnover of staff even after 5+ years) and the food is fantastic. We are not talking authentic Mexican food but just great Mexican-American food that the entire family (and from the looks of it, the entire city of Hoover!) loves and great drinks. They not only will allow large groups/tables but even encourage it. Our family’s and our entire neighborhood’s go to place for Mexican food.
We went here a week or so ago and the food and service was great! I liked that the salsa had a bit of a kick since most are so bland. I got a taco that I usually would not order since I think mine are better than most Mexican restaurants but I liked this one. I also liked the fact that the rice and beans were hot and not just warmed over afterthought. I will come back!
The customer service is a little dry. They aren’t quite rude, but they tow the line. Somewhat snippy and penny pinching. If I can find an equivalent or better tasting Mexican restaurant, I won’t be back. The food is actually quite tasty and they appear to be clean. The atmosphere walking up is drab and depressing. Not a great location. If you can find better; go elsewhere where they are friendlier and more appreciative of your patronage.
I would have to say its been a long time since I have been here 🙂 .. and still atmosphere and food still fad luv luv worth every penny dolls 🙂 its for sure a must try …
Great food. Great service. Great prices. Great Margaritas, try the Cadillac. Been eating here for 20+ years.
