I remember Lloyds restaurant on the old 280 in Chelsea. I alway get the haft hamburger steak french fries, my wife gets the hamburger. The food is always the consistent . It seem like there is always a ton of old folks in there.
I read the negative reviews but decided to try Lloyd’s anyway it was delicious like always. I have eaten in there all my life and it was still the same and is just delicious. I give Lloyds a 10 for service & everything my husband & I both ordered.
Over the hill. We were attracted to this large restaurant because of the crowd of cars outside. The reviews are correct. The place is way past its prime and the food is mediocre at best. Our table was not clean and the floors did not look like they had been cleaned in years, especially the restrooms. This is the type of place sought out by large crowds of people looking for cheap food. The management failed to deal with a particularly unruly group that was seated in the same wing of the restaurant as us. We will not be returning.
Faded glory?. Had lunch here. Tons of folks eating there. Clearly it used to be good. But it had the feel of a faded glory place. Meat & 3 had several selections but the wife & I tried all different things…and were pretty un-impressed. Fried chicken was over cooked. Greens were pretty tasteless. Creamed potatoes w/gravy that tasted out of a can…Peas were OK. Mac & cheese was bland. No Cornbread? Hush puppies instead… Fried onions seem to come with everything. Original idea. But all in all this wasn’t a place we would ever return to…sorry…
Good. I have always been impressed, however service can be occasionally be bad but more often then not service is good.
Is no service bad service?. My wife and I went tonight because it had been a few months since we had eaten here. After standing in the front lobby for a few minutes the wife went ofer and asked if we wait to be seated or not. She was told we could sit anywhere we liked, so we sat on the 280 West side, it was the least crowded. Three different wait staff walked right past our table like we weren’t even there, including the one that told us we could sit anywhere. A fourth walked by and said someone would be with us shortly. I assumed that meant shortly. After 5 minutes of sitting , a party of 6 came in, they were seated and given menus and was told they would be right back for their drinks…. we still hadn’t even gotten a menu. We got up, put on our coats and walked out. No one bothered to acknowledge as we left, either. I will never go back, there are too many other places that actually want my business.
Worn out. The food matches the building, inside and out, had bbq and fries, not impressed, the place was dirty………will not go back.
