After reading so many positive reviews, I was excited to eat here last night. Unfortunately everything about my dining experience was less than average, with the food being the most disappointing. Wild West Shrimp were bland, so much so that I’m not sure if the cooks used any seasoning whatsoever in their preparation. The sirloin steak was below average, tough with little flavor, requiring copious amounts of A1 to swallow. The baked potato was just plain gross, fitting the criteria for a drive-thru menu item. The best thing about my meal was the bread (that comes free with the meal) and broccoli (which was just average, but better than anything else). I tried a bite of my wife’s fillet, which was better than the sirloin, but still overpriced for what you get. Perhaps my high expectations after reading so many glowing reviews had something to do with my disappointment. Regardless, I do not plan to eat at Longhorn again.
This was one of the best steaks I have had in a very long time. It wasn’t quite as rare as I wanted, but it was perfectly seasoned. It was a nice evening out, glad we chose Longhorn. We’d never eaten here before.
