The food is delicious and the owners are very hospitable. Great little family owned cafe!
Yum!. Best humus ever and love the tabuli (sp) salad. Oh my! Plus the owner and his wife are so nice.
Seasoned fries. A buddy of mine introduced me to this place a few years ago and we frequent it pretty regularly. My kid loves whatever it is they season the fries with, so Mike always adds extra seasoning to the order LOL. I like the tabouli salad and gyro plate.
I have eaton here many times before and each time it has been great every time. Would highly recommend this place:)
One of my favorites. And I am picky. The fish special is great. The trick is to get two of the house salad dressings and dump it on the fish and rice. I don’t know what it is but it’s delicious. Mike and his wife run the place and they are very personable. Give it a try and you won’t be disappointed.
Our regular place for good food. My husband and I meet family at the Pita Cafe weekly. We love the food and enjoy visiting with Mike and Desi. We have tried just about everything on the menu. My favorites are the moussaka, eggplant and tomatoes, gyro sandwich and the tabouli is the best I’ve had. My husband loves Desi’s banana pudding. The stuffed squash is very good too. Salads are good and generous. We enjoy good neighborhood restaurants and Pita Cafe is our favorite.Eileen and Mickey Lewis
Great food, alright atmosphere. Firstly, I’d like to say that out of all the Mediterranean restaurants all over Birmingham, this one tasted and felt the most authentic. The food was awesome, and the family running it was extremely friendly and approachable. I had a gyro plate which was a pretty large serving and tasted amazing. My friend had a gyro sandwich with fries which looked equally as good if not maybe even better. The hummus was also great. The owners were extremely friendly and joked around while maintaining a smile the whole time. The music kind of sucked though. TVs were a little loud too. When the place got busy, they seemed to be a bit shorthanded, but that didn’t affect us. Overall a pretty good experience, but better to catch them outside of the lunch rush.
