This place is great! The wings are my favorite in town – and I love wings! The bbq nachos are delicious, and the owners are from Louisiana, so the Cajun dishes, like the gumbo are spot on and delicious. As a former New Orleanian I judge restaurants who claim to be Cajun or Creole harshly, but this one fits the bill with many of their dishes! Well done guys!
Both my Red Hat Group and my dear hubby and his friend came and taste tested this new and unique restaurant. Each group received complimentary freshly prepared and deliciously good fried pork rinds with a bit of seasoning on them. Super good and I had not been a fan prior to eating them either. Now I am seriously addicted!! Hubby had the Boston PoBoy Pork Sandwich with baked beans on it with fantastic sweet potato fries.I had the Piroque with red beans and rice with another side of Cajun Potato Salad. Everything was so tasty and filling. I splurged to eat their homemade low sugar apple pie slice topped with ice cream. Out of this world good!!! I spied their other chocolate chip and butterscotch chip pie which will have to sampled in the near future. We all had excellent wait staff who were so timely with our orders and kept our drink glasses topped off. If you like barbecue, you must try this place out. Super deliciousness at its best!!! We met the owner, his daughter and mother in law, who also cooks the desserts as well as their bread pudding. They all were so welcoming and friendly. This place has only been open for two months in the Hoover area. Needless to say, we will be returning soon!
