You’ll get addicted to this place! So good. Try the filet if you’re getting steak, the rice and salad is amazing, and of course the yum yum sauce. I literally wake up craving yuki.
Ate here tonight for my friends sons birthday and it was good. I’ve only ever eaten here for lunch. It was really good tonight. Will be back:)
The sushi chef went outside with his phone, returned without washing hands. I’m a little worried about the cleanliness of sushi anyway. Tube of Polygrip on the sushi counter ( honest!). He was eating behind the counter. Too creeped out to eat here again. Food tasted okay. Better choices in the area!
Awesome value. Several great lunch values, including $8.88 bento boxes. Great value for sashimi, large portions and low prices. Must try the white tuna!
Don’t waste your money here. Have eaten at Yuki a couple of times before and thought it was good and inexpensive. My wife and I do not go to Yuki to eat hibachi as we like traditional Japanese fare better. The first thing I noticed on this visit was that the prices had gone up substantially. We were very hungry so we started with sushi as an appetizer. It took about 30 minutes before we got the sushi.The sushi looked fine but we noticed that the wasabi was a dirty looking green color. Wasabi should look bright green. For our dinner, I ordered the house yakisoba and my wife ordered the yaki udon. The yakisoba was priced at $13.99 and the yaki udon was priced at $12.99. We have cooked these meals ourselves at home and thought the price was way above what should have been charged. But as I said, we were hungry. When I got my yakisoba, I noticed immediately how small the portion was. If I had not had sushi before my meal, I would have left there still hungry. The yakisoba was not very tasty and looked unappetizing on the plate. My wife’s yaki udon was bland and again unappetizing. They put two small pieces of chicken, two small pieces of imitation crab meat, and one small tempura shrimp (this qualified this dish as yaki udon in their eyes, I guess). The waitress was friendly and attentive to our needs at first but as the meal progressed, she stopped checking on us. In fact, the manager gave us our check and picked it up for payment. We never saw her again. Also, the manager asked us how the meal was and I told him that I thought the portion was too small. He got a call on his cell phone at that point and rudely took the call before he finished his conversation with me. He never asked about how the dinner was. He just presented us with our check. Needless to say, they have lost our patronage and for the prices they charge, I suggest you find another Japanese restaurant to go eat at. There are plenty in the Greater Birmingham area.
Food is ok. Standard hibachi. But the service was terrible. The waiter was disinterested, lacked knowledge of the basic menu items, and just generally aloof/rude. No bueno!
