I went to Los Reyes in Hueytown for the last time tonight. My family & I have supported this particular Mexican Restaurant for year. Tonight 10 of my family members ate there and my 70 year old retired Dad picked up his 3 year old granddaughter and somehow a plate gets knocked off the table.When my dad pays his bill they added an additional $5 for the plate. I have NEVER heard of this & even if I had… you are going to charge my Dad when we have supported your place for years AND advertised for you by telling all our friends?My dad thought the owner was joking & when he found out he wasn’t he told him he would not be back, and neither would his daughter, or his daughters friends! The owner was incredibly rude and said he didn’t care. Well, bye!Bye Bye Los Reyes. If you want good Mexican food and friendly service in Hurytown, go to Habaneros!
Wonderful service, great prices and even better food! I got the panchos dip which is a large bowl of grilled steak, chicken and shrimp covered in cheese and served with tortillas. AMAZING. Their menu has tons of choices and these is no way a person could get bored with this menu. The staff is very friendly and attentive and I never had to ask for anything. Definitely our new favorite Mexican restaurant!
Ate there for lunch today for the first time…usually go to the other Mexican restaurant down the street. I was pleasantly surprised at how good everything tasted – chips/salsa/queso were all great! I was with a group of coworkers and everyone enjoyed their meals. I ordered the Sopa de Pollo (chicken soup) and it was enough for an entire family! Next time I will order the Panchos Dip since a coworker order it and it looked very good. This place definitely has a menu that is unique, unlike the standardized menus that all the other Mexican restaurants in the area seem to share.
Great Food… OK Service!!. Ate here during early afternoon after lunch. The ambiance was nice. The margarita was huge for a medium and very good! Cheese dip and salsa were equally as good! I shared the main dish, which was the Jalisco Burrito and it was amazing and was plenty big enough to share and still walk away full!! I’ve been to several dozen Mexican restaurants in multiple states over the past 12 years and I have to the food here was some of the best!! My only problem was the people who worked there were not that friendly and for it to be after the main lunch rush the service was rather slow and lackluster! I would definitely eat here again and would recommend it BUT DON’T expect a warm welcome!!!
Love this place! I have eaten here many times and I used to not be a big mexican food fan..but I absolutely love this place! The chips and salsa are so good and fresh. Lots of onion and cilantro in the salsa:) So so good! And the chips are different from anywhere else I’ve eaton before. Super fresh also. A real treat for this area! Fairly new place. Not your typical TexMex. Food is really good. Lots of variety in the menu and good prices. Definitely worth a try. I’ve been two Fridays in a row now. Recommend.
