The carne asada street tacos are fantastic! If you can’t deal with raw onion, have them saut he onions for this dish (you will thank me). The service was above par, the decor vibrant and pretty, and the food amazing!
We really like the food here. Always fresh and hot. Rarely do we wait long for our food. However, the service is pretty atrocious. There are other places with food as good but we put up with it because it is only 2 miles away.
First let me start off by saying that food is only as good as the perception of that person, it is only as good as that person perceives the food to be, his definition of good food is different from any other person. When you have the majority of people saying that a particular dish is delicious then the reality becomes that the restaurant offers very good food. I grew up eating authentic Mexican and Tex-Mex food. The first thing that I noticed when I move to Huntsville was that Mexican food had been altered and made more American to suit the people in this region. Not only has the food been altered and Americanized in Huntsville but also the ingredients to make this food suffer in quality. While authentic Mexican and Tex-Mex restaurants in the South use fresh ingredients and make everything from scratch here in Huntsville everything is either canned or comes from a box or bag. This in turn lowers the quality and the taste the food making it taste fake and unsavory. In my opinion I feel that this restaurant provides the best and closest food that can be considered authentic Mexican and Tex-Mex. plates like the Mexican tacos and the pork carnitas are very delicious here.
Disappointing. This was our first (and last) time here. The decor was really neat and the service was good, but unfortunately the food did not measure up. I had the Burrito California from the lunch menu. It is described as a four tortilla stuffed with marinated skirt steak, rice, pico de gallo and special sauce, covered in cheese and burrito sauce. Sounds good, but it wasn’t. Everything inside the burrito was mushy, and when topped with sauce, it only got worse. The rest of the family didn’t fare much better. Everything we ordered seemed overcooked and it all tasted the same. It’s really disappointing because I was looking forward to having a good Mexican place a little closer to home.
YUM. Scottsboro AL started out love affair with Buenavista many years ago! The food, the service and the all out amazing way we are treated by the most amazing group that works there!! They are now and will always be our familia!The Nicholas and Stark family
Great place, good food.. We love bringing our kids here on Monday when kids eat free. We have nearly always enjoyed our dinners and the one time we had an issue (extremely salty, inedible steak) they corrected it quickly. Love the margaritas and they have a good selection of beers.
