This was a first for my husband and I. We ordered two chicken sandwiches, he got fruit and I got mac and cheese. Let’s start with the sandwiches- undercooked bread- way too much spread on it- mushrooms were NOT roasted at all (came from a can and heated)- chicken was cold. Side- fruit you really cant mess up. Mac and cheese- pasta was over cooked and the cheese was too much. We also got two drinks for a total of 7 dollars; For two sodas. Our bill came out to 30 dollars. As chefs, my husband is a head chef and I am a pastry chef, I have never paid so much for bad food. Not to mention presentation was awful. You should just throw food on a plate and serve it if you are going to charge me up the wall. Your tables are outdoor tables they even have the hole for a umbrella. I will never be going back to this place. It was so bad I didnt even eat my sandwich. My husband who eat almost anything didnt even eat half of his. DO NOT GO HERE.
Slow and rude. Had lunch there. Very slow service. I was with a party of four. One of our group had to wait 10 minutes for her soup and sandwich after the other three had theirs. So, we all had to sit and look at our food for 10 minutes. Then the owner was so rude it was unbelievable, while having religious icons all over the restaurant. Less than a Christian attitude. Also, owner was working with food with no hairnet. Will not go back. Other good places to eat.
While the food can be quite good, time management/customer service is quite poor.. I play the frequent patron to Cyn Shea’s, in fact, it has been a favorite since I began working in downtown Huntsville seven years ago. Unfortunately, I have noted a drastic decline in food preparation and customer service.Yes, the food is delicious. However, as is the case with most of the restaurant’s patrons, my time is money. While the menu boasts a number of mouth-watering, and I’m sure time must be spent in their preparation, items … I cannot understand why it takes a half an hour to box up a slice of cake. An order of Mint Julep tea and a slice of cake by no means, or way, justifies a half-hour wait ‘to go’. Especially considering it was the first order taken after a lull in the lunch crowd. I can easily brush off the three times last week my call-in order was not properly prepared, my single order of soup took a fifteen minute wait ‘to go’ when I was the only patron ordering, and my watching as the prep line laughed over the fact that my call-in small salad had yet to be prepared … twenty minutes after the fact.It annoys me only because I constantly refer clients to this restaurant. I tout only the best aspects and yet I see to also run into lousy service. While I understand my no longer frequenting Cyn Shea’s won’t produce a ripple in their income, this ridiculous lack of time management needs to be put out there.I still can’t believe I paid that much for a slice of cake that nearly cost me my entire lunch hour. Never again.
