Tough ribs and nasty sides! Sauce was bitter. Even the soda tasted gross but it could just be that I was so turned off by this place. Will starve rather than eat here again.
I will not be eating here again. One Sunday evening a while back, my wife and I went here for dinner. We are both are trained barbecue judges and I cook pork butts for many events, so I pay attention to the cooking. I saw they had about a dozen pork butts/shoulders on the open pit and they appeared to be very early in the cooking process. Not long after we had ordered our food, the pit cook wheeled a rack out, removed the butts onto sheet pans, wheeled them to the back, and then proceeded to clean the pit. I got the chance to ask the cook where he took the butts, and he told me he took them to the cooler and that they would finish cooking them tomorrow. This breaks a cardinal rule of meat cooking and food safety. Once you start cooking meat, you don’t take it off the heat until all of it has reached a safe food temperature. I am 100% sure the meat I saw was not up to temperature when it was removed.
