Rude rude rude. The food is passible but the staff is rude and the price for lunch has gone up its a little to expensive for 3 people it was 29.43.
My husband and I used to eat here all the time.. But they have went downhill. The last few times we have went the food has been awful! I will not be returning. If you’re looking for a good Mexican restaurant go to Las Trojas Mexican cantina! Best Mexican food in huntsville! Don’t waste your time at El Mariachi.
Love this Place!. We have been eating here for a long time. Love the food, the service and the prices. Really friendly and fast service. Our favorite is the chicken fajitas for two.
Great Food at a Great Price. My husband and I have been eating here since it opened. We always have had good food at a great price. The service has always been fast and friendly. We have never had any complaints and we would recommend it to everyone would likes Mexican food. We hope they never go out of business!
They’ve lost a longtime customer. My family has been dining there regularly since they opened several years ago. The food was tasty, the service was fast and friendly, and the food was reasonably priced. Our waiter knew us well. They’ve recently changed ownership, as none of the old staff is there anymore. The prices have gone up slightly, but the food quality has gone down to inedible. This past week, I ordered one of my regular dishes, the Combo #7. The chile relleno tasted vinegary, like it was on the verge of spoiling. The chicken enchilada tasted the way floor cleaner smells. My wife’s enchiladas tasted similarly bad. We took the leftovers (almost 2 entire dishes) home for the dog, and even SHE wouldn’t eat them. Seems like we’re the last to know, as when we arrived at 6pm the once always vibrant restaurant was nearly empty. I’m joining the ranks of those opting not to dine here again anytime soon.
Have gone down over the past 2 years…. They’re getting ruder staff, and they seem to jack up prices and lower them at whatever times they find suitable. Sometimes tab totals will be more than what the food says it costs on the menu. Watch out!
I’d rate it 2-3 stars out of 5. The service staff is courteous and quick. Food quality is okay, served nice and hot indicating how freshly it was cooked, although probably not good enough to warrant the drive to get there unless you live nearby. The restaurant is clean although furnishings and decoration is spartan. The ambiance almost has more of a country-style eatery feel than a mexican feel. I personally prefer Rosie’s Mexican Cantina, Phil Sandoval’s Mexican Restaurante, and Cantina Laredo (especially if going out with a date or friends); but I’m also content eating at El Mariachi by myself if I’m in the vicinity (I live nearby).
