Delicious (:. This restaurant is sooo good. They’re tamales are very very tasty and so is their rice. I’ve tried other things on their menu but the tamales are my favorite, even though the other food was excellent too. I haven’t met a dish at this restaurant that I didn’t like. The service is really good, and the food comes out quick. This restaurant is very very good! I’d recommend it to anyone and everyone!
Don’t go!!. We live in Madison and like to frequent the local restaurants so tonight we took our family to El Olmeca. What a mistake. I can not say that the food was bad. I also can not say that the food was good. I never got my order. All five of us ordered compete meals. They were served one meal at a time. Each meal 5-10 mins apart. So by the time my husband had finished his meal he asked our server about mine and she said it would take another 10 mins. Everyone at my table and at all the surrounding tables were served before they brought mine out in a to go box. If you want a good relaxing meal where you eat together as a family do not go to El Olmeca.
Disappointed. We just moved to Hampton Cove and our realtor recommended El Olmeca highly to us. After a long day of unpacking I was in great need of a Margarita and dinner I didn’t have to cook. I’ll admit it was a Friday night and the restaurant was very busy. We got there and waited forever to get our drink order taken…waited forever to get drinks and my margarita was no where to be found. I ordered a huge one thinking I would get it early and expected a wait for food since it was busy. We waited forever to place our order…still no margarita. The food came and still no margarita. We questioned the staff each time we saw them. Finally after our food came I was brought a small margarita. The food was okay. It’s no better than any strip mall Mexican restaurant. The service was bad enough to keep me away for good.
El Olmeca Is Awesome!. I don’t have any negative words to say about this place. The food is always delicious. The service is always great. The food comes out fairly fast everytime. Good place to come sit down and enjoy some good Mexican food with the friends and family.
Our go-to Mexican restaurant. We eat here often. The salsa is always fresh with cilantro. Eating in or to-go is a win-win. The rice is wonderful as well. Good service and food always tastes great.
Mexican neighborhood restaurant. Reliable neighborhood Mexican restaurant. Good food, good service. Family operated. Handles two diners or a soccer team equally well.
AWFUL!. The reviews below seem way too passionate about a filthy restaurant to be from anyone other than people that have a vested interest in the restaurant. The food is atrocious, the service is slow and you are ignored after you get your food. I highly suggest you look elsewhere for Mexican food.
