Best Mexican on the Southside. I’ve read the reviews here and am appalled that anyone has had nothing but a great experience here. 90% of these reviews are made on weekends so, sorry for your precious time, but these people are busting their humps in a VERY busy market. Yes I have had some slow times, but I observe the amount of energy these people put into their restaurant and find it admirable that they take special care of each order to ensure superb customer service. On the positive, I have been here many times where the food was on my table in 10 minutes – from SCRATCH – I know this because I am chef and own a catering business. I have been in the kitchen with them and know there is nothing from a can or a frozen pouch that goes in a pan or on the grill.If you want great authentic Mexican food with friendly staff and more then generous prices, please visit them. I’m white and don’t work here so no shameless plug. lol They’re 3+ stars on EVERYTHING for God’s sake!Recommendation: Platos Guadalajara
I will say they have the best fake tattoos! They’re only 50 cent, which is reasonable and affordable!10 Aug, 2014The food is mediocre at best. The best time to go is when the mariachi band plays. They have really good fake tattoos and they’re only 50 cent! I’d go for that and the margs.
They have one good waiter and waitress…the rest are slow and very unfriendly. The last time we ate there service was horrible!!!! Will not be going back.
We have been loyal customers for over 5 years. Today we ordered take out. TERRIBLE!!! Not only did they get the order wrong, they put the food in a styrofoam box that melted by the time we got home. I called them to let them know the mistake and they said they would fix it. I had to drive back over there because the food was for my son. All the while my food is getting cold. They refused to give me a refund for the order they messed up. If we were eating in the restaurant I would have never asked for my money back but because I had to waste gas and eat cold food I thought it was absolutely appropriate for them to give me a refund. They chose to loose a loyal customer over $5.00. It’s principal at this point. We have been eating there almost weekly. The waiters know my family by name. We will never go back. Horrible customer service.
Food is actually one of my least favorites in Huntsville, but the Mariachi band on Sundays I think is great

Simple but good. Nothing really special about the food here. but the prices are really low, especially the lunch menu. also have great drink specials.
