Was my first visit, and wasn’t aware of the mixed reviews here. I’m glad I gave them a try. The food at lunch was great! I had the cod sandwich. Will be back!
Just a NO all the way around. Expensive, bad service, bleh food – nothing flavorful that we tried. We love The Bottle next door but this place doesn’t live up to it’s cool atmosphere.
Terrible Customer Service–DO NOT PATRONIZE. Following a horrific experience with the accounting department I will not patronize Humphreys Bar &Grill, and urge others to follow suit. I visited Humphreys Saturday, January 2, 2015 to have a drink and socialize with friends. The bartenders and staff were very nice, polite, and attentive. I ordered a drink, and started a tab with my bank card. After about an hour and a half, I decided to leave and informed the bartender I wanted to close out my tab with cash. I looked at my bill of $10.90, placed $13 in the sleeve, and left. It wasnt until the next day while reviewing my bank statement I realized my card was charged the $10.90. I did not sign anything authorizing this charge so I decided to call Humphreys and straighten the matter out; confident the oversight on their part would be corrected. On Monday, January 5, 2015 I spoke with a representative who was very apologetic, took my information to forward to the accounting department, and assured me someone would contact me shortly regarding the matter. When I had not received a call by Thursday, January 8, 2015, I decided to call Humphreys to follow-up and check the status of the matter. It is during this follow-up call I had the displeasure of speaking with a representative from the accounting department. The woman listened to my issue, and first apologized for not getting my information earlier in the week as to return my call. This was the only kindness and frankly professional attitude I experienced during the entire exchange. I was then informed that I needed to bring in both receipts from that night showing my cash payment and card charge as well as my bank statement showing the charge. I informed her I did not have any receipts, and was not so politely told its the customers responsibility to get a receipt. She then asked what I wanted her to do!!! I would like you to cancel the transaction on my bank card and give me my money back!!! On more than one occasion during the conversation she stated, Again I dont want to be rude but, each comment was then exactly that very rude, callus, and lacked any sort of customer service tact. My suggestion of her speaking with the bartender about the incidence was met with a very rude I dont see what good that would do, perhaps provide you with details from the night because after all who wouldnt remember getting an extra $13 for a $10.90 bill. She then insulted Humphreys bartenders and wait staff saying they do not understand the accounting system and how it actually works!!! Throughout my exchange with this woman I was completely baffled and dumbfounded by her utter shortcoming and inexperience with customer service resolution. She seemed completely unwilling to do her due diligence and simply investigate the matter. The tab was not a large amount; its more about the principal of the matter. The matter could have easily resolved by the accounting representative simply taking my information, saying she would investigate the matter, and provide a call back. In this day and age Im sure things like this happen more often than not. I realize from a business standpoint you cannot just go around returning funds to anyone who states they were double charged. However, at a minimum you can give them the courtesy to actually look into the matter and provide a call back. My visit to Humphreys on January 3rd was only was second visit, and unfortunately it will be my last. I like to patronize establishments with courteous and professional staff, and although this woman works in the accounting department and probably has little to no interaction with customers on a regular basis she is still serves as a representative of company. This experience left such a bad taste in my mouth, I will not return and have told all my co-workers and friends to do the same.
Cool place, but not digging their pizza. This is an awesome place, especially the outside garden. I here it rock out on the weekend, with a band and outside bar. I had the carnivore pizza – toppings were good, but their locally made dough was way undercooked (not even tanned) so it ruined the pizza. Beer selection was good.
This has always been one of my favorites but over the course of one year it’s become a restaurant I can barely recognize. It has cute a number of my favorite dishes and tonight they were out of: chili, hotdogs, egg rolls, the ingredients for all their quesadillas…what exactly did you have? Humphrey’s: you’re in major need of some help.
Great bar better than normal food and great bands in the courtyard!
