Disappointed! We will never go back! I’ve been going to this restaurant for over 10 years. Within the last year the quality of the food and service has degraded to its lowest point yet. The only good news about my recent visit was the fact that I had a completely filled card so I got one of the dishes for free. The General Tso chicken that we serve was so bad we had no problem about throwing it away. This restaurant is now worse than cheap Chinese food. For those diners in the Huntsville Madison area that are seeking Asian cuisine, other options are Four Leaves, Surine, Phuket or even the Rice Box which is just across the street.
Good Food!. Best Mongolian Beef and Beef Salad I’ve had in the area. Fast delivery too and reasonable prices.
Not pleased.. First delivery restaurant that I had to give then the stress address to a major hotel. Lady on the phone was very impatient and rude. General Tso chicken was really sweet with no heat and the dumplings were gummy and very little flavor. Just poor execution over all for the price. The chicken though was really good though. Definitely has promise but over all I was disappointed.
Lackluster. The restaurant has a decent enough atmosphere, there prices are somewhat high, but not absurdly so, the real problem is the food, it doesn’t taste bad, but many of their recipes are just mediocre or incorrect.i’ll start with the gyoza i had… these were nothing extraordinary, in fact, i would make a guess to say these are store bought gyoza they are selling at a premium, they did not boil them beforehand so the casing didn’t have a proper texture, and they deep fried them too long to compensate for the cooking, leaving the shell tough and dried out. and 5 gyoza for $6 makes you thing that these should be far superior to what they are, instead of these mediocre things they are serving.Next, the general’s chicken, while this is typically my favorite dish, their interpretation of it left me wanting, their battering of the chicken seems fine enough, the problem here is the sauce, they’re rushing the creation of it, which leaves it far too sweet, the spices haven’t had time to permeate and flavor it, and it’s just way too watery, which makes the chicken’s batter get soggy extremely fast, again, for $8, i expected far higher quality. The hot and sour soup i have the most issues with, it’s hard to mess it up, but they seem to have sure tried, typically hot and sour has chopped ham, sliced broccoli stems, bean sprouts, crushed red pepper, and black fungus within it, most of there are fairly staple, their had tofu, some mushrooms, and an unidentifiable ground meat, which was likely of the around 73/27 quality if not worse. they needed to increase their stock strength and make it a bit spicier, add more ingredients in general, and maybe serve it a little warmer… the only upside to this was it was fairly cheap at $2 a pint, but in this case, i’d rather pay a little extra to get something actually good. The fried rice tasted alright, but looking at it, i’d be hard pressed to say it was fried, it’s rather goopy, and like the hot and sour, theres a distinct lack of extra ingredients in it aside from some peas, bits of carrot, and egg, and again, this was far greasier than it should have been.Overall, the feed need some major improvement for the prices they ask. i’ll probably take my business elsewhere is i get a hankering for Asian cuisine in the future.
I was introduced to this restaurant over a month ago and I’ve been ordering take out for lunch once a week since. It was great in the beginning. Loved their red curry with chicken. The last few times the chicken is grizzly & over cooked. The rice container has gone from being full down to less & less each time until today reaching its lowest of half filled. I ordered the Thai coconut soup three times. The first time the soup was really nice, the container full. This last time it was terrible, a very strong foul mushroom flavor & only slightly over half filled…which didn’t matter because I won’t be eating it. Unfortunate as this was automatically my favorite lunch place (with leftovers for dinner). I cannot comment on the rest of the menu. The price is fair & service is fast. The food is inconsistent unfortunately.
Good news is that I had a coupon so my entrees cost same as one. Bad news is that it was DRY and they charge extra for enough extra sauce to use any on your rice.
I tried out their padthai and the tom yum soup. The food is not awful but its not good either. For the price of it I do expect a little twain and a bit of authentication for the food. Shrimp tom yum soup was horrible… its a bowl of broth with a mushroom and a shrimp in it. Very disappointing. As for the padthai, it didn’t taste anything like it but stir fried rice noodles.
