The food USED to be good – but no longer is. The food USED to be good, but since new management took over more than a year ago (a relative of Mei Wei restaurant), the food is NOT good. I’m out of town a lot, but stopped there again today, HOPING that there were improvements. There weren’t. I asked for white rice, but got fried. I asked for veggies in my Kung Pao — there were none. I saw very few veggies in the Kung Pao, but when I opened my take-out box, there was not a veggie in sight. The older lady there fixed my take-out. This is my favorite Chinese place in Huntsville. Definitely a great place for dine-in or take-out. The Oriental chicken is my favorite and the cream cheese wontons are amazing!
Used to Be Good but No More. I have been eatig at this restaurant since the mid 1990’s and the food has always been good … until now. Apparently the restaurant changed ownership and today was a miserable experience. Egg Drop soup was yellow and I saw egg floating in it but it tasted so bland that it was like drinking warm water. The sauce with the brocolli beef is not the same either; a bit too thick, less sweet, and had a bit of burnt taste to it. Customer service is mediocre; they aren’t rude but they don’t greet you with the smile that us old-time repeat customers are used to receiving.
The food is so good here and the prices are low! One lady in particular there is so friendly and remembers our order and other things about our visits that makes us feel like they appreciate our business.
