Great stop for a sushi fix.. We come here a lot for sushi. The lunch sushi special is a good deal, and the fish is always fresh. They could use a little crunch in the spicy tuna / salmon rolls, IMHO.
Some unique items you will not find at other Asian restaurants in town. Some of the best sushi in the area.
Good food, slow staff. My family is new to the area and have had a terrible time trying to find good Chinese food in Huntsville. We enjoyed our dinner here very much. The only real negative was the slow service, but our food made up for the wait. Big portions, ended up taking home food for lunch the next day. Always a bonus (when the food is good).
Poor Prices for Poor Quality. The prices here are really high for what you get. Entrees ranged from $9-$16, which normally is not high priced, but every meal at our table tasted like it had been popped straight from the freezer into a microwave. The sushi tasted old and freezer-burned. We waited over an hour before our meals started coming out, and there was a wait of several minutes between each meal, so by the time one person was done eating, another would be just getting his food. For the same quality food for a lower price and no wait, you can drive down the street to Panda Express.

Hidden Gem. My Boyfriend and I love Sun Cafe. It has become our go to for a casual date night or when I am just craving a good sushi fix. I have tried almost every roll on their menu and have not been disappointed one bit. Their fish is pretty fresh and portions are good. My boyfriend usually sticks to the Chinese or Thai dishes they have and has really liked everything from the Kung Pao chicken to some of their drunken noodle options. We usually have enough to take home for another small meal. This place is has great food and friendly servers and you can even find local coupons for those on a tighter budget. We look forward to going back again soon.
We have eaten at Sun Cafe several times and have always been happy with the sushi. One thing they could improve on is their ginger dressing. Have had it at lunch and it was a watery mess. Last night it was thick but flavorless. Sushi was awesome though, especially the Spicy Tuna Roll and Eel Avocado.
