Great experience. Food was fantastic. I had tacos with cheek, tongue and chicken. It was really good. Workers were friendly and nice. Even came back for dinner to take home!
This is the perfect taco shop: cheap, simple, and fast. Also, the meat options are varied. My personal choices are the pastor (spicy pork) and cabeza (beef cheek). The pastor has a light smokey spice and a pleasant coat your mouth sensation (likely from the fat/oil content). Then, the beef cheeks are essentially the most tender braised beef you have ever had: they almost just disappear in your mouth. Also, their salsas are solid, and I’m particularly fond of the salsa verde.
Behold the power of tacos! I’m from California and this is the place I go when I want real Mexican. Carne Asada tacos, lime, salsa verde, cilantro mood enhancement. Wash it down with horchata and you’ve got the recipe for a perfect afternoon. The Chicken quesadillas rock too! I love it!
THE REAL DEAL!. This food is the real deal. Forget the chips and salsa.. you won’t need it. Everything they make is exactly like you’d get if you were in Mexico.
Don’t miss this place!. I have been eating at Taqueria El Cazador 2 since before the bus; it was like a UPS truck or a bread truck (for years I never even knew the name of it, it wasnt on a sign). I don’t even know when I started going there but it reminds me of the Mexican food that I use to eat. I am from Southern Cal and there is great Mexican food out there but there is also nasty Mexican food there too. I am happy to say that this fares with some of the best that I have had out there. It’s like a piece of home right here in Huntsville, Al. for me.When I go out to eat, I am going out for good food….period! If its good food, Ill eat it out of the trunk of a car, I really dont care (while in Mexico, I did eat out of the trunk of someones car. Ha ha)! As you can tell, its about the food for me and not the atmosphere or anything else. The food here is the fresh type of Mexican food that some reviewers have referred to, that is my favorite kind. An earlier reviewer mentioned the poor quality cheese drenched Mexican restaurants you’ll find all over town, that is both funny and dead-on! You wont find that stuff here, just authentic, fresh, fantastically tasting food.I have probably tried about half of the menu over the years (it has expanded over the years) and have never found anything that wasnt excellent but I have a hard time veering away from the carne asada tacos, they remind me of my favorite place in Escondido, Ca. The garnish is great too!Anytime relatives come to visit from out of state, I always take them here and they have never been disappointed. I have a nephew from Little Rock that comes to visit but I think that its for the tacos from this place and not to see me!This place is amazingly clean and kept that way. They always maintain a high number with the restaurant health ratings and they even run a rooftop RV air conditioner in the summer. For those of you in the know, they have Mexican Coca Cola served in 500 mil bottles. I dont drink it but most coke drinkers prefer the taste of Mexican Coke over USA Coke. For years it was cash only but a few years ago they started taking cards.
Real Mexican Food. The only good Mexican food in Huntsville. After living in LA for a while, I got really attached to Mexican food and this is the real deal. Forget the chains and the bland, homogenized food that is passed off for Mexican in Huntsville and eat at the bus.
Best Mexican Food Around. I moved to Huntsville from San Antonio, and while I wasn’t expecting to find great Mexican food in town, this place was a pleasant surprise. The location is in what I consider a shady area, and the fact that the restaurant itself is a converted bus was a little offsetting, but the food and friendly service make up for all that. The tacos are amazing, and you can choose your meat (I’ve had lengua, cabeza, carnita, and carne asada so far), and the tortas (Mexican-style sandwiches) make a great lunch. The prices are fair, and the service has always been friendly and polite. I highly recommend this place.
