There Ranchero salad is excellent and very inexpensive
Quick and delicious!. I was a bit surprised when I pulled into the parking lot of Zaxby’s for lunch at how packed it appeared to be. Granted, it was right at the beginning of lunchtime, but I almost didn’t find a place to park. Once I was inside, ordered, and eating, I understood why there were so many people. Zaxby’s is an interesting place for a person hailing from the north; it’s fast food but it doesn’t leave you feeling weighed down and awful afterwards. Everything was very clean, the staff quick and courteous, and everyone looked generally happy and pleased with their meals.My friend and I hopped in line and before I had a moment to really consider my options, we were asked what we would like. The house salad was up as a favorite menu item and therefore felt like a safe bet. Indeed, it was delicious, very fresh–clearly not one of those prepared, pre-packaged deals. The grilled chicken was good and all was topped with Zaxby’s own ranch dressing. I was so content after the salad that I hadn’t the chance to go for a chocolate brownie milkshake, but I’ll be back!
