I had high hopes as we enjoyed The Catfish House in Eureka Springs Arkansas quite a bit.. The atmosphere is inviting the service is good .I also enjoyed the navy beans and Hush puppy’s you get with any dinner plus Coleslaw I didn’t eat the slaw my husband said it had too much of a vinegar taste. We decided on the pick 2 combination plates we both opted for Fried Shrimp and Catfish I had first thought about the stuffed crab but a lady sitting nearby warned me against it she had ordered it and was unhappy with it saying there was no crab taste what so ever and the stuffing was not very good..When the food arrived I knew we made a mistake.,The shrimp was small and mushy I couldn’t eat mine I’m picky about my shrimp my husband wasn’t thrilled with his either. The catfish was of course fried in corn meal and it wasn’t too bad the fries that came with were good. I was super disappointed .Needless to say the only left overs we bothered to box up were the Hush puppies .
