I’ve had many experiences of fine Mexican cuisine. Sadly, my experience last night wasnt even close. My plate was covered in yellow cheese to cover up a hardened quesadilla and an underwhelming chile relleno. Sauces were no spicier than catsup and the rest of the food tasted microwaved. C’mon mobile you can do better
The Tacos de Carne Asada are the best I have ever had and I used to work in Mexico. The meat is lightly flavored and extremely tender. They used to bring a roasted jalapeno and roasted pearl onions with it. I haven’t seen these in quite awhile. Regardless of that, these are the best. I have lived in the Midland/Odessa area of Texas and the same dish out there doesn’t even compare to Aztecas. To all you who are complaining about cleanliness and rudeness guess what? You will find that in American restaurants. We eat here weekly and sometimes more.
VERY NICE. Avocado dip (not the guacamole) is excellent!!! Cheese dip also very very good…I had the carne asada tacos,, they are very spicy if you use the house sauce that comes with it.. steak very tender and good.. charo beans were also very tasty!! Be sure to try the chile releno as well!!!
Admittedly, I might be biased, since we eat at Aztecas at least once every two weeks, sometimes even weekly for a stretch. But, if anyone is qualified to judge a place, you’d want to hear from someone who has been there more than once. Sure, anyone can have a bad experience anywhere at least once, but I dare say 99% of Aztecas customers leave happy. They also return which is why they are successful even with several other Mexican establishments in the vicinity. The chips are warm and crispy, the salsa just like I like it, the cheese dip is watered down less than most other places, the tacos don’t have juice running out and the servers all smile.
