Casual atmosphere in an old KFC but don’t let that stop you from frequenting this great seafood house. Yes, most of it is fried. Yes, all of it is good. Suffice it to say, the naysayers for the most part have an agenda. Crab claws? Great!Platter basket with oysters, shrimp, fish and stuffed crab and onion rings? Along with shrimp slaw and hush puppies? Fried sea gems with plenty for a meal the next day. Love the Shrimp Basket hot sauce and their house made tartar too.Our five top were full to the gills, pun intended. Will be back back back!
It was alright but…. Food was hot and tasted good, but was on the pricer side for the amount given. You’d get a better value at the Boiling Pot instead (which is nearby)
The service is terrible, dreadful, down right awful! The steamed shrimp are often over cooked making them difficult to peel. You would think when they offer all you can eat steamed shrimp, someone would be in the kitchen steaming shrimp at all times. Not here! If you ask for more shrimp, you have to wait and then they bring you 7 or 8 shrimp at a time. I will not go back there.
Dinner Review. The service was okay. Our server was a young girl who was very attentive and polite. The food however was one seriously bad. I ordered whitefish with shrimp etouffee and it took awhile to get my food so I was hoping it would be worth the wait….and it was very disappointing. My fish was mushy and the etouffee had no shrimp in it and had a jelly consistency. The rice tasted like it was microwaved rather than made fresh and sad to say even the squash which was just plain steamed squash with no seasoning wasn’t good either. It was almost soggy. It is very overpriced and sad to say even if it was a lot less I still wouldn’t go back. Overall good service but terrible food.
Had a wonderful popcorn shrimp basket with enough for another meal! The good came out quick and hot. Recommended.
Way Overpriced!! If you want to spend this kind of money then go to a real seafood restaurant on the Causeway.
Food not good. Dirty!. 1. Paper trash left on the dining room floor was still there after our meal. 2. Food debris and beer bottles left on nearly all the tables outside. The waitress apologized when she cleaned the table. 3. Crab salad was warm when served. (Scary!) Fish was mushy, but not dangerous. My friend reported the shrimp and crab cakes as disappointing. Perhaps making good seafood is complicated. But clean isn’t complicated, it is just work. The Shrimp Basket in Tillman’s Corner failed in both areas, in a bad way. I have been here before, and it was pretty good. They failed so badly, I will probably never be back. Wash stuff! Keep hot food hot! Keep cold food cold!
