The manager made us sit at a two top rather than the FOUR top we asked for. He said more people were coming in. It was close to 9 pm. No one else came and he had two people sitting at a 4 top near us. BAD. Not happy with that. He should have let us have our table, we were the customers right in front of him. So, he should think of those people there and not the ones that may or may not come. Food was OKAY, pretty good, except the rice…
It’s great to find a restaurant in Mobile that offers vegetarian options. I ordered the Vegetarian Chef’s platter. Some of the best hummus and Baba Ghanou I have eaten. The falafel balls were moist and tasty and the grape leaves were small but also tasty. I was looking forward to the spinach pastry but it was a little dry. The platter also included rice, grilled veggies and warm pita bread. And the lentil soup with baked croutons was out of this world. My friend had the lamb chops, which she said was tender and flavorful. We topped of our meal with the Lebanese tea and kunafa. I am giving the restaurant a 4.0 because of the somewhat dry spinach pastry and the I thought the veggies could have used a little more herbs and spices. Overall, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. I will be returning to 7 Spice.
