I had passed this place awhile ago and have been wanting to try it ever sense. Yay for a great locally owned Mobile restaurant. We had the brunch and wow I’ll be going back for the regular daily menu for sure!! The monte cristo was to big for but it was massive, maybe plan on sharing (or taking home for dinner like I did) the table also got a breakfast pizza, it was not your normal breakfast pizza, it was out of this world. Hope to be going back soon for some drinks or maybe another brunch for bottomless mimosas.
I really want to support local places, but sometimes they make it so hard. I went in for lunch today and it took about 15 minutes or so to place our order. The food was pretty good and quick so that wasn’t the problem. The problem was the young waitress. She seemed to not be concerned about getting things done in a timely manner. There was also a bartender there, who could have been the owner, and he seemed more concerned with making tea and reading his book. He should have been helping the young girl who was in the weeds, but yet had no idea she was in the weeds. I will eat there again, but it will not be when time is important to me.
We had been looking forward to trying the Sunday Brunch and decided to go this morning. It was loud. it was cramped. Our food service was slow and before we received our order we were asked by the wait staff to move to a table by the door which was too close to the door. The wait staff said they had a big group coming in and they needed our table to accommodate them. We cancelled our order and paid for our beverages. I will not be going back.
My partner and I visited Ashland Pub for the first time, recently, and had a great experience. I enjoyed the Mahi Mahi pasta and my guest enjoyed the Lasagna; both were great (although my fish was a little overcooked)!Eventhoughthey were busy, our server provided us withexceptional service. While we were only visiting for a quick dinner bite, I imagine this place is a great hangout spot for later in the evening considering the atmosphere and the great draught selection. Overall, we enjoyed our visit and look forward to dining here in the future! P.S. Ask for Ashley! She’s a fantastic server.
